Racoon Shoot

Members Only

MAXIMUM SAFETY IS ACHIEVED VIA EXTENSIVE USE OF SUPPLIED MULTI-COLORED

LIGHT STICKS AND LIGHT RINGS.

• 6:30 PM –  Registration, practice and FOOD (supplied by the club)
• Dark: Shoot begins.

If you have never shot a Raccoon shoot before, you are in for a great night.  If you’ve done one before, you know the fun and exciting time we will have!  Since it’s at night, we will be shooting a multi-station course at known yardage for added safety.  All stations will have 3D targets set up with reflectors in the eyes of the targets, along with a green glow stick representing the “green light” to shoot that target.  Each person will be given a red glow stick that they must wear.

Red is a “NO TO SHOOT”, and the green is a “YES TO SHOOT”.

Rules

When at the shooting line, each archer will only be allowed to use 2 light sources.  Light sources include; lighted pins, lighted sights, headlamps, stabilizer lights, or simply someone holding a flashlight for you. NO SPOT LIGHTS are allowed.  Must be a small hand-held flashlight.  With the new technology it’s hard to limit the cell power (some 2 AAA battery power lights are brighter than most car headlamps).  Remember it’s all in good fun, so let’s not bring in the light source used for a NASA spacecraft! (Lighted nocks are allowed, and are not considered a light source).
