Youth Shoot

Free to members & non-members (youths and adults)

This shoot is for youth that have their own equipment and have some experience with archery. (Please note this change from last year.  If a youth would like to experience archery at Suffolk Archers, please contact donnasuffolkarchers@gmail.com)

Email Anthony Romeo at aromeo@optonline.net to sign up in advance. There’s only 45 spots, so first come first serve for participation. Please include the following in email: name, compound or traditional archer, member of Suffolk Archers or not, age, who you would like to shoot with (limit 4 per group max). 

**Three classes (Traditional and Compound groups in each)

Bowman 11 and under, Cub ages 12-14, Cadet ages 15-18 (mimicking USA Archery). Top youths in each class will be awarded.

All youths MUST be accompanied by an adult at the event (DO NOT drop off).  During the course, it MUST be 1:1 ratio for Bowman, 1:2 ratio for Cub and 1:4 for Cadets. Adults are NOT shooting. Each group will also have a Suffolk Archers escort. Distances will be given.  There will be a “Bowman” GOLD stake (keeping ranging 8-15 yards) and “Cub and Cadet” GREEN OR ORANGE stake (ranging 15-35) yards.  Scoring will be 5, 8, and 10.

8:30am registration, breakfast & practice range will be open

9:30am “shotgun” start

11:45am lunch (Food & Drinks included) 

12:30pm Awards
